Letting Go of Rules and Control in Relationships

The rules you put on others are not about them. Those rules are all about you trying to feel secure, safe and not scared. If you are setting rules you are trying to stop your feeling of fear. Rules are an attempt to try to control someone into providing you with what you think you are missing. Your safety is within you it doesn’t require someone else to provide it for you. It is not their job and rules placed on them will not provide you with what you are seeking.
Let go of trying to control another and engage in nurturing your own insecurities so that you can learn to trust the safety and security that lies within you. You will also learn that fear is not a bad or good emotion, it is just a feeling that is flowing life’s experiences through you.
